I came to play today as I do several times most days. It's fair to say WOCG was a staple of my recreation.

The new site design is a disaster. There are so many things wrong with it that I'm on a three day countdown to leave. I've been frustrated by the profanity filter for months now, but that was only a minor annoyance compared to the absolute train wreck of a UI I saw when I opened the site this morning. And perusing the comments doesn't give me much hope. Frankly it seems like all the passionate WCOG fans are angry and the (new?) owner/operator of the site is working hard to justify the decisions that got us here.

My prediction: if the new owner does not revert these changes completely (yep, that's what I said) and bring them back incrementally after getting user input (A/B testing?) then this site will lose 50% of its existing user base before the end of the month.

Message to the new owner: A good metric to track: games played by returning users. If your redesign is a win, then that metric should show it.
